As the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Office for UCANR, this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and / or administering diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and programs. Provides proactive leadership, consultation, advice, and support to change systems, structures, policies and processes to the UC ANR community. Leads engagement to advance, integrate and embed diversity, equity and inclusion into all aspects of university life. Conducts analyses of current structures, policies, systems and data. Facilitates dialogue and conversations about sensitive topics. Leads and advances strategies for institutional as well as individual employee responsibility and accountability, in preventing and combating discrimination. This position has dual reporting line to the UC ANR Associate Vice President for Programs and Academic Policy and the Associate Vice President for Business Operations

This position will hold UC Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) accountable for providing programs, resources, and services that lead to access and opportunities for academics and staff personnel; remove institutional barriers to pathways toward successful leadership and advancement. The Director for Workplace Inclusion and Belonging is a strategic leader, thought partner, and implementer for UC ANR Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR). The incumbent will work closely with leaders throughout the organization to shape the organization’s culture to be one that values diversity and inclusion and fosters an environment where all employees feel respected, appreciated, and valued. 

The incumbent will partner with UC ANR administrative units, key stakeholders and external clientele, employee organizations and Human Resources on organizational DEI and employee engagement strategies. This position is a critical collaborative partner of the UC ANR DEI council which is the advisory body to the Vice President on matters relating to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 

Salary: $89,800.00 to $131,100.00
